Day 1

Sorry about the absence for the last few days, work has been insane. I am hoping to post every Monday at around midday

When I woke up the next morning I wasn’t exactly surprised to find out that I was alone in Carter’s bed, I was exhausted by the time we had made it his apartment, hell I had even fallen asleep on the ride over.

When we did make it to his apartment I barely made it through a hot shower before passing out in his bed, I was grateful he didn’t try and have a conversation with me and he understood that I was tired and I just needed some sleep.

I climbed out of the enormous and incredibly comfy bed and headed out of the bedroom finally taking in the apartment and the views from the windows that I couldn’t see the night before. I was amazed by the view, it was stunning.

I hadn’t spotted Carter yet and I wasn’t the least bit worried, somewhere between me getting out of the shower and falling asleep in his arms I vaguely remember him saying something along the lines of that he was working from home but where that meant in this apartment I didn’t know.

“You’re awake” I jumped at the sound of Carter’s voice, I was too busy standing by the window in the living room looking out on the street watching people rushing by trying to get along with their day to day errands.

I turned around to face him and gave him a small smile, “I am, where are we?” I questioned as I turned back to the window.

I actually had no idea where his apartment was located in Manhattan, I never really asked before since none of the areas made sense to me. The one time I had been to New York, I stayed in a shitty apartment not far from Times Square and we made it everywhere using google maps and addresses having no idea where we were going to and from.

“Upper East Side” he spoke as he walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around me softly kissing the top of my head and I instantly relaxed in his arms.

“So like pretty much the whole of where Gossip Girl is filmed” I replied instantly not really knowing what was going to happen but all it did was cause him to laugh in response.

“Never seen it Kel”

“Right, of course you haven’t” I twisted in his arms so I could face him

“Nope and it’s not changing” I pouted at him but all he did was give me a smirk before leaning down and kissing me again.

“I’m really sorry I fell asleep last night, I was so exhausted from the flight, I barely slept…”

“Don’t Kel, it’s fine. I understand and I don’t understand why you wouldn’t let me pay for your first class flight” I shook my head.

It was the one thing we argued about before I left, he wanted to pay the ridicules price of a first class seat while I was happy flying coach.

“Don’t start on this again, I’m already here I don’t want it to cause problems” I gave him a small smile as I placed my hand on his cheek.

“Fine, are you hungry?”

“Depends what did you have in mind?” I spoke as I pressed myself closer to him.

I noticed the smirk that appeared on his face as he shook his head before leaning down to kiss me and it wasn’t long before he picked me up and carried me back to bed.

“I missed you so much” Carter spoke huskily and I buried my face deeper into his chest, I had definitely missed these moments with Carter when he wasn’t in Melbourne with me.

“I missed you too, you have no idea”

“Well I’m assuming it was enough to uproot your life to be here with me” I lifted my head and looked at him and he had a smirk on his face but it dropped slightly. “I mean it Kelly, I’m incredibly grateful and blessed that you did uproot your life and move out here to be with me”

“I told you that I wanted this, I wanted the change and getting to see more of you was just a bonus. Even before you appeared in my life I wanted a change, I wanted to move away and get out of the rut I was stuck in. My job was okay and I have a handful of friends that I will miss anyway”

“I love you Kelly” he spoke so softly and I was a little shocked at first, neither of us had said it. I knew I hadn’t said it because I was scared he didn’t feel the same, he wasn’t the one that moved half way across the world.

“I love you too Carter” I replied as soon as I could speak before leaning down to kiss him and it then lead to a second round of amazing mind blowing sex.
